SKS assembly question

Years ago, I purchased a few Chinese SKS stripped receivers at around $20.00 each. Today, parts kits are available with cut receivers.

I do not want to spend too much money on this type of project -given the inexpensive price of a complete SKS.

Is it a big job, to take the barrel from the parts kit (it is connected to the cut receiver) and install it, in the stripped receiver ?

Not a very hard job, barrel removal from the cut receiver kit is fairly easy. If I recal there is a drift pin and then the barrel can be removed, its threaded but has a wrench end fitting (22-24 mm if I recal)

That looks like a fun project to do. Take some pictures of the finish project they would be good to see
