I picked up a sks cheap and when I took it to the range it would not eject the spent round. I had to tap the bolt handle againest a post to eject the spent round. I have cleaned the chamber with a chamber brush attached to a drill. It looks as if the casing neck is getting stuck. This gun is from the 60's. My next step is to take it to a gunsmith. If anyone has any ideas please reply. Thanks

That's not really a surprise is it? a cheaply built, mass produced, cold war relic from the sixties having ejection problems?

Sounds like a good time to get out of it and try something new.
Maybe something with a grenade launcher. . . . . . .

I totally agree, I picked one up ten years ago for 100$(and it came with 40 rnds and an AR15 mag) It shoots everything I throw at it, and I can hold minute of duck at 200yds, I'm happy with mine.

Re: sks not ejecting

Grab it firmly by the handle, with the ejection port facing away. Now, start your pickup truck. Place the rifle under the front driver side wheel. Put truck in 4 wheel drive. Roll over the rifle a couple time but not more than 4. It should work fine now.

Re: sks not ejecting

Ok I may have deserved that but just to clear the air' I picked this sks up for 20 dollars and I do have plenty of good old American firearms but at that price I could not turn it down. As for the bike why don't you try one, there's no better way to see this beautiful country than from the seat of a harley

Re: sks not ejecting

Find yourself a good manual, clean and degrease the shit out of every part, and verify all springs(especially the return spring) are actually "springy" and not mishaped or damaged.

6 and 29 could likely be your culprits, yes piting could cause cases to get stuck, but since its from the 60's I'm assuming the springs need to be replaced.

Re: sks not ejecting

Just to let you know that there are still some good people out there, the guy I bought the gun from is taking the gun to a smith to find out what's wrong. And I had nothing to to do with him doing this. 1shot2kill i'm not going to argue bikes you ride and that's good enough.
