I know this has been covered before but I could not find it in the search. Which sling is better for AI, Slip cuff or Tab gear without buckles. I don't want to have to put my arm in a cuff or slip I just want a fast arm in and twist nylon sling with HK hooks. Any input?

I have been looking at the TAB PRS sling, but I currently have the Blue Force Gear Vicker's padded sling and am wondering what more the PRS might offer, if anyone has experience with both, please share.

I don't have the padded Vickers but have the standard version and I've used the TAB Gear PRS in the past. For me, the Vickers sling is a great carbine sling but only a so so sling for precision rifles. It's kind of narrow so it doesn't distribute weight all that well but I imagine the padded sling would take care of this. I also found it to be a little on the short side when adjusted for a bolt gun, I could get it to work for carry but it didn't give me a lot of versatility if I wanted to use the sling for support.

The TAB Gear sling on the other hand is a dyed in the wool precision rifle sling, I mean it's in the name right. The wide webbing distributes weight quiet well and there's plenty of adjustment for even big rifles. It doesn't have a traditional loop but I found that I could still have it wrapped around me like in a patrol carry fashion and then tighten it up to pull tension across my back and give me some stability.

I was able to do that and get good hits on a BC zone target at 300 yards from the sitting. I also found it to work well using the Wojcik technique if I was shooting off a set of shooting sticks. The TAB PRS really shines when shooting off of a tripod though since it has the carabiner loop that let's you clip into the sling and get really stable. I used the carabiner loop for some barricade stages and shooting off a tripod and I was pretty amazed by how stable it was.

Again, just my thoughts and experiences with these two slings, I hope it helps. BTW the "loop sling" shot was with an AG sling, not the TAB gear, and it was windy as hell.
