The guy may get 4 years for shooting a moose he didn't have a tag for, and Hillary goes free for selling our uranium to Russia. 6 time deported illegal aliens rapes a woman and then goes to jail, prob out in 8 years on good behavior. Why in the hell would this guy get 4 years. You know how much a guided moose hunt costs? 10,000 to 17, 000 dollars isnt out of line this day and age. He probably figured for that price he should be able to shoot the one he wanted.
Hunters from MA are the absolute worst.....ive been threatened on more than one occasion by hunters ive run into because i was "in their woods".....even though we were on public lands......they learned right quick its a bad idea to threaten someone who is also holding a shotgun.

I don't hunt, but I've been told that NEPA is a hoot, given the out-of-staters who descend on the woods in the Poconos from NY and NJ. Posted signs mean nothing, and the crack of a rifle turns into a footrace to see who can get there first with a tag. Small game season around here is going to be interesting, for sure. I got a ridge full of squirrels.
NJ has way more deer and hunting opportunities than Pa, the Pa redneck hunts the shit out of their woods.

for the most part....hunting isnt done for food......yes there are a few exceptions......but meat is cheap and plentiful in most of the country......
hunting is done for recreation, and done for game control......we eat the meat because its good and we dont want to waste the animal.
if you are legitimately starving and in an emergency situation and you cant get food any other way....yeah shoot all the animals you want.....i dont care about poaching, human life is more important.
if you are hunting for sport, which is 99% of hunters in America.....its done for recreation....you dont NEED to hunt

Your wrong. Hunting is about money. Give the government thousands of dollars so you can shoot an elk. I hunt as much as anybody. I can feed the animals year round and still have to pay for a hunt on your own land permit. And and a hunting license and a hip stamp and a migratory bird stamp and a federal stamp and a fur bears permit to hunt everything I do hunt. And guess what, I get to pay for it all over again next year. In the mean time I will keep feeding the critters. It’s all about money in this day and age. So I will say again. If someone wants to shoot a deer off my land and eat it. That’s up to them. I’m not going to say a word about it.

Look at what happened to American Buffalo...over the course of less than 100 yrs they were hunted nearly to extinction....shit like that is the primary reason we have game tags, and it’s also the reason why penalties are so severe....

Actually that's not exactly the case, the reason the American Buffalo were nearly hunted to extension was specifically WITH government consent and support (not openly stated, but clearly acted on). It was a strategic plan to starve the Native Americans to death / surrender, who depended on the herds for their food supply.
The Native Americans passionately hated those who went out slaughtering the buffalo.
Then of course later the government says oh my.... those evil guys killed all the buffalo... now please give us some power & ablitity to make new laws and force them on people and we'll.... hmmm... keep it from happening again?......

"Protecting the endangered animals" is fine and all... but for every time the government says they are doing it... look behind the curtain and you'll see them busy doing the opposite when it suits them. Just like managing the wildlife for hunting.... then you go back and find some idiots trying to give birth control to the deer so they don't have to let hunters kill them and all that kind of BS... or refusing to let new watering places be made to help sustain the populations during drought seasons....
