SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY(Snowflake) Winter11/12 ENTRY OPEN

Sent our targets off yesterday. Our post office was closed for remodeling Saturday and Monday being a Postal holiday, I hope yesterday works for postmark.

As far as the targets go.... BAD! Seems we can never get them shot till last minute. Shot in 15-20 mph winds and finished up under headlights. It's a wonder we even hit any of the targets. Actually some rounds didn't hit the target, but oh well. Going to have to work a little harder at getting these shot a little sooner so we aren't rushed so much. All goes to a good cause either way, plus you could win something, win-win regardless! Thanks for doing it!

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY(Snowflake) Winter11/12 ENTRY OPEN

Forgot about PRes Day...the day after is fine when the deadline falls on a holiday...will have to use a better calendar for scheduling for 2012

If it is a record low centerfire, that'd be me

. That's what happens when you forget your handloads on the last day and you have to buy PMC FMJ's at a hardware store

. I think the only thing I intentionally hit was the paper... with the thumbtacks.

Re: RESULTS

Thanks JB for putting this on and a big thanks to all the sponsors as well. I look forward to shooting this match every time. I usually end up disappointing myself but there's always hope for the next time.

Re: RESULTS

Jason,

Thank you for your time and effort to make this possible. It's a great reason to get out and shoot and to put some money toward a great cause.

Thank you to all the sponsors who continue to donate to this match.

Regards,

Matt

Re: RESULTS

Congratulations Bill! Phenomenal result!

I thought I might have accidentally pulled it off this time, but you really turned in a great result.

For such a simple target, this is truly a challenge. Thank you Jason for running this match. This challenge really pushes me to practice and is a reality check in a big way. Lots of fun, mixed with some real head banging frustration every time.

Looking forward to next year, and congrats to everyone that participated.

Re: RESULTS

Nice work, Bill the Lurker! The centerfire contest eludes me. I have a load that groups well, but can't seem to hit what I am aiming at.

Jason, many thanks for your time scoring all the targets and organizing.

And to the sponsors... thanks for supporting. I won nothing this time, but the Lapua Brass and Berger bullets have been a blessing. And my Lucas Boreguide has been phenomenal. I can't seem to find my Seekins ring coupon, or my Badger for that matter, but I will definitely use one of those for my next ring purchase! It is great to have Sponsors who support both the shooting sports as well as the American Snipers.

Thanks!

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

2nd time in this match and it was just as awesome as the first! I'm stuck on this match! Thank you Jason and sponsors for this once again. Fast results too! I wish I would have done better, but hopefully have better luck next time. Great targets guys, incredible groupings.

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

Outfreakinstanding shooting!! Wow... talk about raising the bar!!

Bill... I appreciate you removing my target!! LOL

Carter... You absolutely amaze me with your consistancy!!

JB, thanks again for all you do!!

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

Wow. What a great time. I am hooked because of the shooting - winning a great prize is icing on 'da cake. Jason - thanks for putting this on. Counting the days until the next one comes around....

Congratulations to winners/record setters - quite a bar you guys have set.

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

Good shooting guys and gals. Thanks again to Jason and all the sponsors that keep this running. I'm looking forward to a clean start this spring with another subscription and a newly built CF rifle to help get the numbers up.

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

This was also my second time in the match. I AM HOOKED! Can't wait for the next one.
Thank you Jason for all that you do to keep this going. I know it's alot of work.
Also, thank you vendors for donating the prizes eash match. I will enjoy my new TAB sling. I have actually been looking to purchase the same sling. Thank you Rifles Only!

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

The only thing I am bummed about is that I missed the Fall match. I actually showed up to the range with 22 in one hand and STS targets in the other... and the 50 yd range was shut down. They said it would be shut down for 30 minutes. I waited for 30 minutes and they said it would be another 30. I was leaving town for Thanksgiving that day. I had to catch the flight, so I missed the shoot. AARRRGGGHHH... If I had hit my confidence shot, I would have had a nice agg for the year.

My goal next year is to have an agg for RF and CF come hook or crook.

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

I just looked at the CF scores again. Whoa! You needed a 250 to break into the top 3. I am humbled! And I see that Gremlin delivered two fine targets that in a typical contest would have had a shot at winning either match. This was definitely an inflated month. I will admit that I had perfect shooting conditions with mild weather and minimal wind. I think the mild winter helped everyone's scores. And obviously, the snowflake barbs are a little easier to hit, or at least seem that way.

Spring will be another story...

Re: SMACK THE SMILEY Winter 11/12 RESULTS BELOW!

Glad you guys had fun

Mrs Ace...target was stuck in the envelope...my bad - was a 147...will do a couple free targets on me next match since I screwed up.

Special thank you to all the sponsors that give so generously.

Congrats to Bill and Carter for really lighting it up.

Looking forward to the Spring match.
