Here’s some stuff that’s come up and some people might find useful:

What size bit for the turret screws?

    2mm

Can the screws really take 10 in/lbs?

They appear to be able to as long as you make sure you use a 2mm key at all times. Using something (like standard) can round them just enough that 10 in/lbs will start to strip. I may bump down to 6 in/lbs for personal peace of mind

The turrets reset to zero like most turrets?

Not completely. Zcomp recommends unlocking the cap, loosing screws, turning to zero (or wherever), then snugging screws. Lock turrets (make sure it locks/lines up exactly where you intended), loosen screws and then torque down while locked.

If you’re having trouble with alignment, it’s 99% probably because you didn’t follow these steps, or something slipped the wrong way during the steps. Rinse and repeat until it’s correct. Extremely simple, but often overlooked.

Can I really torque the rings down to whatever the ring manufacturer says?

Seems so. Zcomp seems to be confident enough it won’t hurt the damn thing

Do I focus the diopter like most scopes?

No, you focuse the diopter (reticle) at the lowest power instead of highest power. You’ll be amazed how well this works.

My turrets are a bit too tight when I attempt to unlock them.

Repeat the turret zero process. Had this happen and something was just a little off on alignment

Is the zero stop really -0.5?

On some yes. Others it’s around -0.4. Not sure when/if this will be standardized.
    How tough is Zcomp?

In the name of science (you should believe me, I swear) I let my vudoo tumble out of vice about 3 feet. Got some scratches on the zcomp. Seems to work fine still.

Is zcomp the best optic on the market?

    Commence argument in 3.....2.....1......go

All good info! When I get my ZCO 4-20 I'll keep this post in mind.

    Couple notes:

1: I picked up a 6 in/lb limiter from fix it sticks. Purely from a feel standpoint, i like this much better. I don’t feel like I can strip the screws at all. 10 in/lbs was on the borderline. I feel like 10 could strip them if you’re not careful.

I’ll report back if I see any issues with turret slippage, but I’m confident it’ll be fine.

2: big thanks to @gebhardt02 he had new screws sent out to me within a few days. I was more than willing to pay for them as it was my fault they were almost stripped and they took care of me. Extremely quick and efficient

I never used to. But since I bought fix it sticks, it’s so easy to do, I just do it.

And since I don’t think I’ve ever seen 10 in/lbs recommended before, figured I’d see if I could break mine ?‍♂️
