Looking for a smith close to Ft Benning to do a trigger job on a new Rem SPS Tactical, its the X Mark trigger, can only adjust to 4.5 pounds, would like to get it to 1 1/2 pounds and smooth it out a bit if possible. Any help appreciated.

It is likely the new style trigger. If so you should not have it worked but replace with a Timney instead. The surfaces of the latest model Remington triggers don't hold up well to stones.
If you are dreaming of of 1.5 pounds and a white Christmas....you need to order either a jewel or a timney from the factory that is already adjusted to your specs...

Don't waste your time replace it. They aren't expensive and the stock one won't hold up well to honing.
Dam I thought these POS triggers were adjustable, can only get the dam thing down to 4.5, what a POS trigger. Thanks for the info guys, this is for a young dude I know stationed at benning, its his first rifle. I have Timney and like them was just trying to save him a few bucks.
