How easy or hard is it for a smith to turn an action chambered in 308 into a 243?

It should be a matter of merely rebarreling it.

it is just a matter of them fitting and chambering a new barrel.

i'd say it's pretty easy.

AS said above...bolt face is the same, just need a new barrel
