Hello,

I just recently picked up a M&P .357sig which I am going to be using as a primary carry, house gun, car gun, etc. This thing is going to be with at all time except at work obviously. I have shot this gun and love it.

Not the point of this thread I am looking for thoughts on the M&P knives. They are assisted opening knives like the Kershaws. I have been carrying a Kershaw Leek for a long time. I like to match up things. So anyone have any personal experience with the knives? Any thoughts or opinions, the fact they have a lifetime warranty is really nice too.

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P knives

I think the S&W M&P knives to be the best deal on assisted opening knives on the market. I have both the tanto style and the regular knife version, and have carried and used both on a daily basis. Both hold an edge very well and with a drop of oil will open very quickly. The only complaints I have is that the thumb studs are too close to the handle, but the finger tab on the back of the blade makes this problem solved. Also, the screws holding the pocket clip will work loose, and have lost one of them on my tanto. This can be fixed with a drop of loc-tite. Overall, I would highly recommend them. My 2 cents.

Rick

not worth a damn in my book. check out bladeforums.com for more specific advice. Kershaw is a step up from the S&W. Dont take a step down, instead, take 2 steps up to a benchmade for <$100

I do not agree with the above

I do not like Benchmade personally, I just sold my two Benchmade automatics. I do love my Kershaw though.

LS6TT, great photo one slight problem. Smith and Wesson flaslight, knife... but no M&P handgun?
