Hey, I was looking to see if there are any SH smiths in the phx area to thread a barrel and install a brake. Just figured I would check here before going to a non Hide member smith. Thanks

Just suck up the shipping costs and send it to the best man in the country for the job. If GAP isnt an option, check out some other well known companies. Long wait times may not be fun, but certain smiths are backed up for a reason.

I'm using Gary O'Cock, GO Precision. He's a well known builder (and shooter) in the BR community but does LE gear as well. He's done his share of breaks and suppressors.

When I was deciding on which top smith to use, he was the only one to take the time to answer all my pesky detailed questions. He didn't necessarily give me the answer I always wanted, but then again, that'd probably not be good if he did.

gotta love that huh? Arizona shooting has 14 pages on a bolt gun picture thread and not one of them comes out and shoots our little fun match. Its amazing.

You're a fine one to talk! I travel 5000 miles to come shoot with you, Mike sends you a text to find out if you're shooting on the Thursday and you don't get back to him! I have to trail back another 5000 miles without having shot at all!
May 16th, I'm back @ 18:00, May 17th I have my day off. Maybe see you then?

I am coming out tomorrow to watch a match. I have lived here most of my life and never knew phx rod and gun club existed....I have mainly lived in NW peoria though, so growing up we could be in the uninhibited desert in 15-20 min, so we never looked to driving IN to central phx to shoot lol. Now you gotta drive approx 30-45 min to get to good desert, or just go to ben avery (boring). Anyway, I am very aware of prgc now, and will check out a match tomorrow, and be playing myself in a month or so, when this .308 build is complete!
