Yep, wear your chaps. A few weeks ago I was moving cameras around with a friend and left my gaiters in my truck but thought to myself what are the chances. I was looking around for a stick to put behind the cam for angle adjustment. I reached down to pick one up and almost grabbed a 6' rat snake. Nothing to worry about but got my blood flowing. I have no idea how I didn't see it at first.
