Just ordered some DuraCoat to camo my Savage 12 LRP. I have seen a few vids on youtube but wasn't too impressed with anything. Anyone want to share any of their do's or don'ts when doing either the camo patern or the actual painting technique. If it matters, I will be using a small airbrush (one that my buddy used to use to paint RC planes and cars). Also, I bought two colors, tactical dark earth and tactical desert warrior.

Hey mate I sprayed my rifle with Krylon snake type pattern. Process was khaki base layer then brown streaks then green streaks then clear coat. I used the mesh seen in these pictures for the pattern. Best advice is don't over think it. Its a camo job so just make it random and if you stuff it up do it again. Rifle is a remington 7600 patrol 308 (with some mods).

Here is a rifle I just sold. First you paint a base coat likely your darker color then take a laundry bag (cheap on you get at walmart) you spray it with spray glue let it dry till it is just tacky then you apply it to the stock. Next you paint it either one solid color or whatever patterns you want. Once your done peel off the netting and your set.
