Who actually makes them?

Got to see one up close, and the circuit board really looks like it came from a GearWrench tool.

Bet it’s all from China, despite the hefty price they charge…
 
CDI makes all non electronic torque wrenches that snap on sells. Not sure if that carries over to the digital style or not. I took a torque class in college that let us test the accuracy of nearly every torque wrench. My tech angle was slightly more accurate than my precision instruments split beam.
 
I have had my 1/4" drive for about 10 years....no where is the "MFg in USA" printed on the tool or in the Manual.
My battery compartment has right-hand threads.......you made me go check!
Only use lithium batteries and do not store them in the compartment.
