Snow on the way.

-16C, sunny, no snow forecast until Thursday, (flurries) and then again on Sunday (flurries). Ironically, the temps here are warming up, to which Thursday is actually supposed to be 1C. The Positive 1, not the Negative. Yay.

After zero recorded snowfall in Chicago during Jan and Feb for the first time in history (YAY) we got 3-6" overnight with I believe more predicted later today and into tomorrow. This place and its weather are bullshit

We had one to twoish in central Chicagostan.
Wet snow, will be gone shortly I'm sure.

R

Is that all it ended up being? I'm on the southside and was told it was 3-6" last night, but it had mostly melted off by the time I paid attention to it this morning. I knew we were going to get this bullshit in March, after fishing in February.

So far Jan 27, 2015 was worse. I can at least keep my bearings in this one.

During the 2015 storm there were moments when I had to stop my car mid highway and get out to determine if I was still tracking in the lane. A couple of times I found myself up almost against the guardrail.

Gave me a big understanding of what flying on instruments means except I didn't have any instruments.

If I could have looped my car or barrel rolled it I would have because that was what my brain was telling me I needed to do to stay on track.

Fly ... over ... it, if you have enough absolute ceiling.

Id be happy if some bright engineer solved the problem of keeping the windshield wiper blades free of snow/ice without requiring the defroster to be run at a temp/volume that cooks the operator of the vehicle.

Sounds like a First World problem to me ...

Yes it will be a sad day when we appreciate snow because it keeps the suicide bombers and enemy aircraft at bay.

For now Ill just enjoy it for presenting me the opportunity to meet people and explain why it wasn't the snows fault that their car is 150 feet into the woods.
