i just ranted away about that on here. once gov agency/authority break down and lose control of these uprisings and fed up Americans are pulled into defending themselves it will get messy quick. just gonna take 1 event. there are a lot of experienced,competent and pissed off GWOT vets around,even some VN leftovers who have the knowledge and experience to make the rag heads,perverts,devil worshipers and beaners pay a huge price for their destructive actions. they have the ability to teach and a civil war doesn't require knowing how to make a tight rack or how to march.

And I also believe you're right about the surveillance state. We ain't seen nothing yet. The whole golden dome thing is said to be nothing more than a giant surveillance network. If you think Starlink is at the same level of some of the cubesat mesh networks the government already has going on (and has for a while), I've got beachfront property in Kansas to sell you.
Were you the guy in another thread talking about working on stuff in this field ? Somebody had mentioned in another thread, I think it was about gun registration or something, that what was coming was on a completely new level.
I don't assume starlink is on the same level, but I can for sure see it being a helpful tool for what's undoubtedly coming our direction. Especially being as how many people have welcomed that tech into their hands, homes, vehicles and so on.

That wasn't me, but I do work (somewhat diagonally) with cubesats and a lot of spaceflight stuff. Over the past 5 years the cubesat market has absolutely exploded, and I'm sort of surprised there's not more talk about it in terms of how easy mesh surveillance is with them, and how easy and relatively cheap it is to get micro cubesats launched (I've done some for high school science classes).
Starlink would be good for sort of passive tracking, basically seeing when/where people are but I don't know that the data collected would be a whole lot more useful than if they were using a regular ground-based ISP. It's not "laser that dude's eyeball out from space" yet, but some of the mesh stuff I've seen is straight sci-fi level shit when it comes to speed and tracking.
