So just wondering... Any chance this is a legit hunting stand?

I used to hunt quail within a stone's throw of RDU airport in North Carolina back in the '80's. Different times... and it was still the sticks out there. But a hunting stand that just happens to overlook the President's AF1 landing zone? That's been there for 'months?' And noone saw it?

Range to flight line? Just curious. Hey Florida people... you use bow stands next to airports? Rifle hunt from stands? Next to Palm Beach Airport? Any legit reason for this to be here?

Without them saying how far the stand actually was, hard to tell. Could be left over from a previous season, could be in a really good bow spot...lots and lots of reasons other than "Someone wanted to shoot at AF1".

There's a lot of private land around the ANG base here, if there weren't treestands that technically have a clear LOS to both the runways and the hangars, I'd be really surprised. C-5s don't need people shooting at them to stay grounded from what I've heard, though.

every airport i have been involved with there is tons of open space from their boundary. this smells like overreaction as i would assume that nest is 1000 plus yards away. and looking at the Airport, its in the middle of the city.

That actually made me pull up the map...the only spot I could see for it would be between the interstate and Pine Lake (and that's still a long shot). I can't see any other spot for a stand that wouldn't be a significant distance to make a shot from, that isn't on the airport property itself, and isn't blocked by airport buildings.

Weird.

And I’m pretty sure there is no deer hunting w center fire rifles anywhere around there. Nope.

Suburban bow hunting (hunting where you shouldn't be hunting) is sure a thing, but it is a bit population dense around the airport for sure. Though half tame suburban deer often don't care.

(gun club road runs right past the airport) ;)

Why is that? There are lots of suburban areas where it's perfectly legal and needed. There are quite a few cities that have opened up seasons with archery equipment because the town deer have gotten out of hand.

I'd be more inclined, on this one, to suspect 'No Kings' crazies over the Muzzies.

But based on the pictures and the like above... sort of seems suspicious! Then again, talk about obvious??!!

How can anyone even get in and out of there to climb the tree, build a stand, etc.? Crazy Muzzies aren't going to do that. Crazy leftists... at least within that population there are probably some who have woods skills.

I was listening to a NPR broadcast this morning and they had a guest on who was repeatedly calling Trump a dictator and claiming he was going to destroy democracy... Instead of 'correcting them' the NPR interviewer was leading them right along... Millions are listening to this all day long... the big lie.... repeat it enough and it becomes true.

As a result, the zealots are believing it and drinking the Kool-Aid that if they can "Kill Hitler" they will be saving America and Democracy and preventing the "Trans" from being genocided... and the poor 'Migrants' from being arrested. I'd bet a steak dinner that there are enough mentally-ill crazies on 'missions' right now to pack a stadium. Guided 'smart weapons' set on their missions by the left leadership and Hollywood and especially the Media. And just because they are mentally-ill does not make them stupid.

But as for the tree stand... all speculation at this point. As for the above two paragraphs? I wouldn't bet against it.

The more I look at the picture, the more it looks like a folding camp chair blown into a tree by a hurricane.

Does anyone have an actual picture of the stand that makes it look like… well… a stand? Because most stands I see are on a straight trunk. Or are built onto a tree. That looks like a folding chair in a crook of a branch? The metal legs just kind of hanging down! Or is that just me?

Florida people… you guys find crap in trees much? Just wondering.

You'd think that there would be close up photos by now, where someone actually went over there and climbed up and figured out if it was a stand or just wind blown debris, but no, let's keep everyone spun up and guessing.

Wouldn't that be something to come out later... "Yes; we're working a case where we're trying to ascertain how long certain pieces of equipment were at a scene. So we're simulating exposure to the elements by leaving the same type of items in the tree. :ROFLMAO:
