Found this knife in my safe, been there for decades. It was given to me as a gift. There is " Lee" on the blade
and Tommy Lee on the box. Its a damascus boot knife.

Anyone heard of this knife maker? any good?

Do you wear boots and need a back up fighting knife? If so that looks like a nice one..

No, google mostly sends you to knife sales sites. I was looking to see if anyone that is a knife buff had any real world experience with this guy.

Lol, sorry about my knife for sale link. I like your knife, when I googled, all I found on him was he was making knives in the 70's, long time ago. I like the Damascus pattern, not overly intricate, just nice. I bought a Chris Reeve folding damascus, pattern so detailed, beautiful knife, sharp too, it's too nice, I cannot see myself ever cutting anything with it.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jimmy and Marilyn Lile. Their old shop is near me.
A true Southern gentleman, and a artist with his knife-making skills.
Just checked out his website looks like you can still get a Rambo Knife for $2500.00 .

I understand someone bought the rights to his stuff. Not sure what other original knives they have/had ?I think the ones on the website are in fact made by Vaughn Neely !? Even had the pre-death LILE font. That’s kinda confusing.
The post-death knives manufactured in their shop had a Dot above the LILE , to differentiate.
I bought the book they put out , basically since I knew them , and I own a knife pictured in the book. Kinda cool 😎 The SOG is in the book , the other is a Sly ll Both were made by Jimmy.

My question would be with the Rambo blade would you be able to pull it back out after full penetration without it getting stuck ?

I’ve heard that question before. I seriously think it would be REALLY hard to pull it back out. The blade and saw teeth are pretty gnarly. Might have to kick around it and do lots of twisting
