So. as a few of you may know ive been doing a lot of theory, and now its time to move on to practical activity, ive been looking through scopes for quite a while now, Zeiss, S&B to name a few, and ive come to a decision.

Schmidt & Bender PMII mil dot 3-12x50 metric cm click values at one centimeter (220cm at 100m) (as standard issue for us British)

why you ask? well glass quality, nice range of magnification and i will be firing throughout the day and up to ranges of 1200 meters (not straight away mind you but tuition is there) so the 50mm objective will come in handy ..i think.

So whats your view on my decision.

Re: So ive chosen my first scope (Schmidt and Bender)

You won't be disappointed. I like a little more magnification and really like the 4-16, but that's me. The 3-12 is a heck of a good scope and will last you a lifetime of good shooting.

Good Decision. Like already stated I would have opted for a little more power (personal preference), but you are going to enjoy it.

Just out of curiosity, did you look at a Hensoldt? Nothing wrong with your decision, though.

Good choice - had the 3-12x50 PMII on my AW for 5 years now....best glass I've got (not trying to start a "mine is better than yours" thread...just my opinion!

May look at changing it soon but only to go to a higher mag PMII.

Good shooting!

Excellent choice. You will be very happy with the scope as I was.
