Regulations passed by agency's like this are indistinguishable from laws. Not only the ATF, but the FAA, TSA, and much of the rest of the Federal alphabet soup. ATF is Federal..........if now 80% lowers are all of a sudden - illegal then why are they picking on just them????

The "line" between unmachined or partly machined and "complete" firearms recievr is determined entirely by ATF regulation, not by law. A "complete" reciever is what ATF says it is. Last week it was at 80 percent... Next week it might be at 50 percent.

Sounds like it's just the polymer receivers with the different colored plastic in the fcg well. Not saying that's acceptable, but they don't seem to be saying standard aluminum or other polymer 80% lowers are illegal. The picture looks like aluminum lowers, but it's been proven that we can't trust "journalists" to get it right.
