So whats you plan, for when the grid an/or net drops?

My plan is to tell the FCC that local ham operators have music on in the background while they’re broadcasting. Then I’ll follow the SWAT team back to the ham operator’s location. You know that nerd is a prepper. Once he’s arrested, I’ll just loot his stash.

The sweet irony is crushing a ham nerd with his own autistic threat. Chef’s kiss.

There is also the old way to find a ham radio station. It is called triangulation. Take signal readings from two different locations. Draw lines on a map based on that. The crossing of the lines is the approximate location.

AA & AAA Battery case= full & check. Ammo locker= full & check. Carton(or 4) of smokes= full & check. Couple 5ths. of "Jack"= check. Freezer(be eat'n like MoFo if power goes out!)= full & check. Bug spray(so's I can plant my fat a$$ on my porch and watch the action)= full & check.
Did I miss anything?? Mac;)

Block access. Snuff resistance. Take my rightful place as warlord of the skreet. Lol

Honestly, pray the rapture happens quickly. If not, do the best I can with what I have for those I love.

You have to wonder how you’ll deal with those that didn’t do anything to be ready for hard times.

We just tested that plan at Field Day. ICOM, Yaesu, hard dirty work on the farm.

We did learn that Starlink Mini is very interesting. Not ready to take the plunge yet, but interesting.
We have groups all around us that we link with on skegs, and they have others around them that skeg up as well. All do it to get an idea of what might be heading our way. We task folks to listen Here all the time just in case. Being in 4 land, channel 2 on 60 m is also a home per uncle. We're in good shape with all things life sustaining and skill sets & stores to preserve same. Gear runs the gambit of all the major rigs with enough boat anchors for the long haul. HT's for above average are Yaesu & Kenwood w/lots of Baofengs for the less ability types & FNG's.
Hope it never happens, but local entity's have said they may need a little help if it does as they don't have enough generation ability/s or gear to spread around.

We've decided that issue long ago its simple,... they work they eat, they try to fuck over others they die. We are our brother & sisters keeper, but should they prove not trust worthy, they die. We expect most will see the light early,...

Kill my neighbors and take their shit. They’re all old and knocking on heaven’s door. The neighbors behind me are young but fat and lazy the ones next to them are drunks and work for the tribe so easy pickings there also. I’ll have 2 city blocks all to myself.

I hope one of them has a gold AK so I can call myself a warlord.

the unprepared dims, progs, libs will be just as dangerous as a seasoned cartel fighter just less effective and easier to take out.

I've been waiting for the balloon to go up for so long I barely get excited at the possibility anymore.
Back in the old days it was the Soviets going to nuke everyone and invade everyone, then the threat eventually becomes something new and cooler and such.

In the end I think those who survive best will be those who have a tight knit, prepared community, but low key and mostly peaceful setup, and aren't all about killing and pillaging and dominating others. A whole lot of would be warlords, militia leaders, new government types, new society types, do as we say or die types are going to spend a lot of time back and forth slaughtering each other and being slaughtered.

It isn't popular to say but a WHOLE LOT of all these "militia" and "prepper" types and "survivalist" types and "restoration government" types are actually probably worse than what we have right now. Most (Including MANY on here) are of the brutalize, enslave, plunder and dominate bent.

It's not going to be fun times.

Most folks don't have a plan for year 2 and onward...

If the balloon goes up in a big way anytime, year 3 will see only the meek, industrious and self-sufficient left around for the most part, probably ruled over by whatever tyrant was left standing.

Revolutions rarely end with the intended goal.

One of the reasons we look at life skill sets, stores, & tools differently than most. We knew fuels would be short term (<5 year) so I built a few wood gasifier's for spark respis work/transportation & steam engines to stave EPG generation issues. The last gasifier has a changeable hearth plate & intake air throttling to allow anything from 5hp to 400cid engines to run on it. While you only get about 70-75% of its gasoline hp it beats nothing.
Luckly we are in an area where old school rules apply across the board, but like many places in the south we're getting the NE and left coast influx as well.

I bought one three months ago. I really only plan to use it in the field, but I've used it a couple of times around the house and it seems to be very fast. I built a DC to DC power supply for the tent trailer so I supply the mini with 30vdc from my 12v LiFePo4 batteries. It works like a champ.

My closest neighbor is over a half mile away, strangely enough it’s one of my wife’s coworkers. I have a wife and kids , I hang out with you strange bunch, I got first aid kit advice from @powdahound76 and an ex EMT . The creek I have not seen dry nor the pond . I don’t own a savage so I should last for at least 5min .

I am the only house on my block and own the frontage on 3 sides. I have guns, ammo and flamethrowers at the ready. My goal is to have the people coming into town say, Do not go down that block that is one crazy MFer and he will burn you alive, there is nothing down there worth dying for
I am going for the Vlad effect stand some bodies up in the front yard burned to a crisp. Then sit out front and gnaw on a turkey leg pretending it is a human part.

If the grid goes down, good luck to all you guys who have guns, ammo, and freeze dried food but live on city water. You're already dead.

Water will be power in that future. Cheers my fellow future kings who have a spring on their property, the means to defend it, and the heart to share it.

Your ammo locker is "full"?

"Did I miss anything??" - Yes, you need a larger ammo locker.

We got a nice list of guys that said “I got guns I’ll just come take peoples stuff”

Soon as it pops off we have plans in place to swiftly eliminate these “folks”.

Those that survive the explosions will have their heads placed upside down on poles along the drive into the compound.
The tendons in all their joints will be severed so they suffer in the afterlife.
Their guns and ammo will be marshaled up and distributed as needed.

Im just kidding. We probably will just burn them alive and let em lay in their front yards.

Come and take it.
It’s only yours if you can defend it.
As it’s always been.

Or, we could be friends🙂

I have a enough ammo, fuel, food, and water to last two weeks. If it's just a disaster I can sit tight until the US Military relief effort kicks into gear. If the zombie apocalypse happens and civilization collapses I'm going to die to a panicked horde of inner city leeches long before I run out of food, water, or fuel.

Takes a directional antenna and some skill set. Some clown isn’t going to just walk out and triangulate on 2 meter freq’s

I have the Mini from Roamsat......self contained with its own battery. Works pretty good. Not secure or discreet for shtf stuff....but good comms in rural areas. Tress above it really hamper reception.
