I have 2 M1A's, thinking of parting with one and building a setup like this. I need to find a place to fondle one before I buy it... I think those stocks are over $1K new!

We have a Socom and have not been able to make it shoot better than a Romanian AK. Thrown ammo from Fed.,South African. 118LR including hand loads. Checked and tightened everything if you can get 6" at 100 for 10 rds it would be a record and 300 yds is a joke. I have seen other say theirs shoot also some that say it can't hold a garbage can like like this one. The owners are are former USMC snipers and long range competitors so they can shoot. No looking for NM accuracy just close combat accuracy

Mine shoots like a dream!!! around 2 moa and I'm about to stiffen the front end which will help even more with the SAI Tupperware stock. The SAI stocks are great but very flimsy in the front. I also did a NM front ferrule mod, unitized the front gas cylinder, changed the piston to a Sadlak coated gas piston, bored out the gas plug to be 50% larger inside, changed the op rod spring guide to the Sadlak NM guide rod, polished the contact points between the front ferrule and front band, replaced the springs with Tubbs CS springs, re crowned the barrel, fire lapped the barrel, filed the front sight to an apex .062" wide which makes it lightning fast to aim with and is 1000% easier to aim with, and changed the rear sight with a USGI rear aperture. I haven't needed to bed the stock since mine is nice and tight but I think I might soon. If I do that I might be able to get to 1moa. I did almost everything myself too.
