Sold: Krieger Barrel - .300 Win Mag

Selling a Krieger .300 Win Mag barrel. M24 contour, 24 inches, 1/10 twist, recessed target crown. Barrel has 93 rounds through it, mostly 190 grain handloads with about 30 Hornady 200 grain ELD-X. Had it installed and trued to a rifle I decided to go in a different direction with. Both installation and removal was done by Northwest Action Works. $225.

Forget to mention that it was on a Remington 700

What action was this on? Does it matter? I have a rem700 and wondering what all would need done to throw this on? Sorry for the noob question I’m new to all this.

Sorry, not noob question, an accidental omission on my part. It was on a Remington 700

Were the tenon threads cut on your Remington action?

I’m not entirely sure what the shop did. I ordered a custom barreled action and the barrel and action were trued so I assume they cut the threads on the action as well.

this barrel comes with the custom lug.........or it won't head space...Right?

FYI:

At 93 rounds, even in Win Mag, this is essentially a 20-22" .30 caliber barrel blank. Cut it off, you have good diameter with an M24, and rechamber for the .30 caliber of your choice.

And it's a Krieger for $225.

No lug, the lug stayed with the rifle when I had it rebarreled.

ok thanks....big ole'truck axle type barrel need support, thus the larger custom/thicker lug that headspace is kinda important .

The lug was not custom to the barrel, it was just a factory lug.
