Do you know if this can be used with a regular mil spec 6 position tube and buffer? Or can it only be used with their kit?
That is correct. No issues at all with a mil spec tube (that's how I had it.) When fully collapsed it will show as much buffer tube as a traditional stock in position 1. Approx 3/4 inch of buffer tube showing.
