Is there any way you can verify that these are jacketed and not plated?

Any way other than cutting a cross section that you know of to verify? The exposed lead on the inside of the hollow point makes me think jacketed, but i've really got no idea.

If you're fairly interested i'm willing to cut one in half and post a picture for you to judge. Hell i'll probably do that anyway a little later
