I was having mis-alignment issues with my barrel in the Carbon handgaurd but XLR resolved my issue!

They sent me a new chassis AND a new handgaurd piece that lines up perfectly! Big thanks to XLR for excellent customer service!

Have you determined if the barrel is making any contact with your chassis? I wouldn't think it had anything to do with the action......so I would think barrel or chassis. The action screw holes left to k aligned with the chassis? Other than how it looks......I wonder how it shoots?? You have selected some top notch components and it should be an excellent rig.

I've had this issue when the recoil lug bottomed out on the chassis, causing the barrel to be oriented upwards. Not sure how it would be oriented to a side though.

I've updated this post with pictures. I am starting on taking the components apart to further investigate. Any thoughts on the matter is highly appreciated!

I checked and re-checked the barrel/recoil lug against the chassis, nothing sketchy there. In all honesty everything seems like it should line up perfectly.

Take it out of the chassis and put a 4 ft strait edge against the action, first one side then the other. The other end of the strait edge should be just shy of the brake. If it's out of plumb you will see it there.

The handguard self straitens some when tightening, but it still may be an installation issue. JMHO.

Also take a look at this, I swapped out my barreled Remington 700 action with my Defiance barreled action. I placed the Defiance in the Magpul 700 stock, and the Remmy in the XLR Carbon chassis. Check out the results...

^^ To answer your question yes. I would examine the area where your action sits in the chassis and holes for your action. It is far more likely that your chassis has some sort of inconsistency than the machining done to your action and barrel. There is something wrong with the way your action is sitting in that chassis.
