I have 3 calibers in question one is a 300 RUM 26 in barrel I am planing on useing retumbo and the 208 amax but what primer the next is a 270 winchester i hace not got powder for this was hoping for this gun to have good accuracy out to 650 700 yd. but am not sure on what powder bullets and primer combo 22 in barrel I was planning on IMR 4198 with a 40 gr. vmax but not sure on primer for the 204 its a 26 in heavy barrel. any help would be great. thanks jim

300 rum use a large rifle mag. primer for that.with the 270 get a reloading book and start with thier acc.load in thier book and go from there a large rifle primer will work for that.the 204 any small rifle primer will work,...I have never saw much differents in any of the brands out there,... and i have been reloading for 40 years now.so start there and work your way up from there.Tim

I had very good results with H335 and BLC2 in my 204. I don't load for either of the other calibers.
Hodgdon's website can give you excellent data for all of them.

Here are some loads i got fromm my brother that he loads 204 ruger win. 748 27.5 with a 32 gr bullet bliz king .... varget 28.0 grs same bullet .... varget 27.0 with a 40 gr bullet .... benchmark 25.0 with 40gr.... 270 AA3100 55.0 grs with a 130 gr bullet .... win. 760 52.0 with a 130 bullet all of these loads shoot good groups. I don't have loads for the 300RUM i load for the .338 RUM but i would say good power would be H-4831 short cut or H-1000 would be good with a good Berger bullet like a 180 gr low drag up to a 210gr low drag
