"They" being a bunch of rich and powerful elites who want to eliminate the middle class, monitor and control everyone using a social credit score (monitoring would take place in part through the use of implants) eliminate private property, eliminate "shareholder capitalism" with "stakeholder capitalism" (i.e. Communism) All under the guise of a more green system, social justice etc.

Anytime you askany government to take care of any problem yes you are giving up liberty no matter how well intentioned you may be. Even if said issue is handled well by said government at the time it will eventually be subverted into a bludgeon by a future government. The world has really always been separated into three groups, those who wish to be left alone and be responsible for their own lives, those who need someone to tell them how to live their lives and provide for them, and those who live to control others and will use any means to do so.

When you have a President for the first time in generations who represents the US as a Nation and not a subservient entity to the global political scheme, it undid decades of “progress” they were making towards the Digital serfdom of UN global governance with Marxist and big tech hybrid political-economic theory.
You start to see why it’s so important to disarm citizens of the world in the countries where there is high private firearms ownership. Notice that they don’t focus on weapons most commonly used in crime, but weapons that present the greatest obstacles to private property confiscation.
The state security apparatus is only a tiny fragment of the population and is easily overcome by numbers if it gets out of control-as long as the people have access to comparable weapons. Take away that lever, and you can then round people up who are on the targeted list of most-resistant to change.

The Great Reset actually refers to the coordinated collapse of the food supply. This will be an intentional attack by the elites to reduce population numbers in the next quarter century. By that time 95% of global wealth will be captured and automation will make human capital useless.

This doesn't hold water. If they really do want to get the population to go south, why not let everyone just not wear masks for covid? Why come up with a vaccine? That would seem to be quicker than a food famine that results in war. If covid isn't bullshit, but I digress. Why wait to collapse the food supply? Do it now. That’s my problem with all of this, most of it makes no sense. If this was the end goal there are certainly much easier and cheaper ways to do it. Why all the backdoor stuff? Most of the world isn’t armed either so why wait? If this was true then the countries with no legal arms could be steamrolled into submission within a few weeks! Why beat around the Bush with it? Doesn’t make sense.
The staples and luxuries the elite require are not produced 100% via automation yet. The turning point is when that automation is in place. This is why nothing has been done now.
