Something going on in Lansing

Listening to the scanner. 10 tac teams going around campus, can't tell if or how many victims. With all the other weirdness this year, kinda striking how chaotic a scene can be with little or mixed information. I've been listening maybe 20 minutes and I couldn't tell anyone accurately what is going on.

Will see what develops by morning, for now looks like a mess:

Fell asleep earlier, so haven't kept up with real-time info from scanner. It did sound like chaos while listening, with reports of up to 3 shooters and a ton of false calls (reports of shots where officers were qt the specific location and reported they had been there for some time and had been quiet).

Defending an open campus is admittedly a nearly impossible task, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion. Even listening now there are questions flying back and forth. One would think that active shooter events had been practiced at every major university.

As bad as it is for the victims, it's yet another opportunity for the media to back-page some pretty important stuff (Nordstream,Pfizer, etc)

Hope there's something to nail the sob.

Edit: shooter killed himself

The shooter was supposedly a 43 y/o bm with "no known connections to the school". Seems strange, maybe we'll know more I'm the coming days.

Drug dealer? Maybe. Romantic triangle or rejection? Possible. Lots of maybes.

What it did do was knock the Lake Huron UFO story below the fold (old newspaper term)

They’re saying it was one guy? A buddy of mine sent this to me last night, they don’t look official so either shooters as well or undercover guys. I don’t envy the police force that had to decipher so many calls / reports from the generation of kids in school right now.
