Finally my 6.8spc pig whacker has obtained the all seeing eye W1000-9. I picked it up from Ident Markings today its going to be hard to sleep the next few days in anticipation! Soon the m24 crosshairs of death will be recording 120sst's and 90gr gold dots in full black & white hot thermal!

Unfortunately I donor think it will. I just have the cheap angel eye right now. I'm hoping to replace it with something better sooner than later.

Well it was simple to zero! I put the upper in a vise last night zeroed the w1000 to the IR laser. This morning shot using warmed small water bottles. First shot dead center at 60 yards second blew up another water bottle at 100. I'd say that minute of pig and good to go!!!

Well it was simple to zero! I put the upper in a vise last night zeroed the w1000 to the IR laser. This morning shot using warmed small water bottles. First shot dead center at 60 yards second blew up another water bottle at 100. I'd say that minute of pig and good to go!!!

Put gun in a vise to where the laser is on an object. Then without moving the gun walk the crosshairs in to that object. Example- put a water bottle at 50 yards, adjust the vise until the laser is on that bottle then adjust scope to bottle.

I was hoping someone would ask that question!

I put the upper in the vise while wearing my helmet mounted pvs-14. Then I put the IR laser on the target, locked everything in place, then simply adjusted the scope to zero. One shot zero brilliance!

ARRRGGHH, that sounds brilliant, good thing you did not tell me you watched the IR laser with the thermal!!! hahaha

I keep my lasers zeroed at 50 meters/225 meters and works like a charm....

Never shot anything with mine (not as lucky as some of you guys) but I picked up a LawMate PV9000 HD recorder when I had my Raytheon... I thought the recorder was super neat.. bought some cable and ends off ebay and made my own .. Think Mod sells the cables now but I sold my scope early last year and the accessories were not quite available by then.

Thing I really lked about the recorder was it was extremely small and I used it in my other LE work. It would store in the carry handle of the scope very easily. Had a ton of memory on it too.. It was on the expensive side but
the resolution was wonderful.

My recorder is just a cheap one from eBay $50 ill check that one out thanks for the heads up. I shot one boar with mine last night but it did not record I had unplugged the cable ugggh. I realized it and fixed it for the finishing shot got blood splatter several feet in the air! The cows are calving so I was focused on coyotes this trip. Was only able to hunt for a hour but killed five yotes and got that on video! Thermal is almost cheating.
