Finally, after what seemed like forever, tonight was the start of the new season! I started watching last season, got hooked and then went back and got caught up on the first season. Anybody else watch? Looks like a sh**storm coming up!

I'm with you, Semour. We watched this show at our FOB religiously last year and the wait has seemed like forever for season 3 to come. Excellent season premiere. I'm interested to see how all the various threads get tied up. SoA is one of the most entertaining shows on TV right now.

Watched it last night, looks like this season is going to be just as good as the first two. I think this one may get a little darker than the rest, plot-wise. Hate waiting a whole week to see what happens next, lol. Only issue I have with this first episode is the driveby at Half-sac's funeral. With all those bikers there, there's no way that van would have gotten any more than a 1/4 mile down the road before 50 vengeful Sons caught up to it...

Anyone know who did the drive-by? Couldn't tell from the one guy they showed that got pummeled. Maybe the Mayans?
It does look like the Sons have quite a few things on their plate this season. I have a feeling there's still some "old buisness" from last season, and possibly a field trip in the near future.
Definitely a great show. I'm not a big TV person and don't "follow" anything else on TV, but how could you not love a show about bikes and guns?

I think the drive-by was most likely from the white supremacists, though it could have been the Mayans as well. Both have serious grudges against SAMCRO, but I'm sure there will be some crazy twist.

SamCrow may hang the IRA guy that took Abel with his own intestines. It aslo looks in the preview that they beheaded the leader of the Mayans. Great show no matter how it turns out. Hated to see the new cheif get offed last night he was just coming around to SamCrow's way of thinging and now we have his brother trying to get in the way.

Gotta wonder who the new Chief is going to be. I don't know if Hale was really "coming around", but he was definitely realizing that SAMCO was the lesser of the evils.
I'm wondering if Jax is going to be "detained" for beating that guy to death (I'm assuming he died).
I may have to pick up season 2 so I have something to watch between episodes.

The "beheaded" guy looked to me to actually be buried with his head out of the dirt and they were riding to-wards him on the bikes ala Indian/horse type death... not sure though..

Yeah, I think they're definitely headed to Ireland. It'll take all season to get there, but the IRA dude signed his own death warrant. I was really surprised to see Hale get killed. That's definitely going to mix stuff up.

If you've never seen the show before last night, You've got a lot to get caught up on. There's stuff going on this season that's building on the last two seasons. You really have to go back to the beginning. I have the first season on DVD if you want to borrow it. Just send it back to me when you're done.

My first post here but SOA is a great show I totally agree, I started watching it and eventually my wife got hooked on it too. I can't imagine why they would kill Hale, it has to do something with keeping the old chief in power to keep helping SAMCRO.

Same boat here wife wise. Kinda funny how she never likes the shows I watch until she watches one episode then she gets pissed if I watch without her. Love SOA, still sucks they killed of half sack the probi though.

Piney is one badass dude! Remember, he's one of the original son and not very happy with the the current state of things. He's also in poor health and has nothing to loose. Don't forget that last season he was ready to take out Clay in the clubhouse over the hit on Opie that went wrong.

SOA has a huge following in the military. I got hooked on deployment and we actually mandated that dudes going on R&R bring back the latest episodes because we didn't have reliable internet on our FOB. Yeah, and we're talking about the S2, CSM, S3 Ops MSG in an SF task force as well as everyone else liking this, not just regular old Joe.
Some people see the world in black and white, other people see it in shades of gray. This will inevitably predispose you to like SOA or to hate it. The world SOA lives in is vile, violent, dirty, and amoral. Then again, so is the world I live in, and I don't have to be on the wrong side of the law to see that. To each his own.

Exactly. While most people will choose to live there lives according to traditional morals and values, one can be entertained by the show without condoning those type of activities in real life. While the show is fictional, there are more similarities to real life than most people realize.
