Great piece from a buddy who was there at the very beginning of modern American CQB.

And, yes, they trained with sniper rifles as part of their CQB program in Det.-A. There was a full-up sniper program as part of standing up an anti-hijacking capability.

Them fellas brought some cool knives into the mix as well. Amazing history for sure.

I wonder what they would have to say if they were around today to see some of the modern techniques and styles. There has been some rough door to door fighting to sharpen and improve on methods for sure
