Suppressors SOT???

Re: SOT???

If you already have your FFL then the SOT is active and in the system as soon as the BATFE clears your check payment. It might take a while to get the paper but your
SOT is good for xfers. Your EIN number you used for the SOT is the SOT number so you already have that. So once your check is cashed then start doing transfers.

What he said. If they cashed your check, then you're SOT whether they sent you the paper or not. There is nothing to approve. You have paid the tax. So on your FFL copy that you send for purchases, write 'SOT is paid' and your EIN and that will do the trick.

Correct... if your check is cashed, you can sell ... call NFA and get your number if you dont remember your EIN number ... I will take about 1 month from when they cash your check to receive the 'official' paperwork saying you paid 2011 SOT.

If I can do a transfer one the check is cashed what would I fax to the manufacturer to order the can? </div></div>

Now you have to wait for the paperwork to get shipped to you... then you will have your PAID SOT Tax Sheet you can fax off...

Technically you are legal but you have no paperwork to show other dealers or manufacturers that you are till you receive your paperwork.

You might be able to call the Manufacturer and explain the situation, not sure if they will start the transfer paperwork without a 'physical' copy of your SOT.

I stated this above and will state it again. This works. On your FFL copy that you submit with the order, write in ink 'SOT IS PAID' and then your EIN. The other guy just needs your class and EIN to complete the F3. He will be able to figure your class based on your FFL type.

This will work.

Re: SOT???

Update on the FFL wait time: Interview was on 10/14/11, received FFL in mail today 10/28/11. MUCH better than I was expecting. Will send out paperwork for SOT tomorrow and as soon as I see the check get cashed get my first two transfers underway!
