source for new .284 Win. Norma brass?

As indicated in another thread, I'm considering a 7mm build. Initially thinking 7mm WSM. But I'm not excited about resizing .270 or .300 WSM Norma brass, to get there.

Norma lists .284 Winchester on their website.

Googling is very difficult, as 6.5-284 comes up, mostly.

Anyone know who sells Norma .284 Win. brass?

Also, I can't help but wonder ... if a guy wants to shoot 7mm, why would he choose WSM over .284 Winchester?

It was a reinvention of the wheel.

The .284 is a rebated rim design, allowing the use of the standard bolt face.
The wsm requires a magnum boltface.

size up lapua 6.5-284 brass and you will be happy.

The .284 just has a great combo of everything from barrel life to ballistics to effeciency. It is also good to use the standard bolt face. WSM is also a really good cartridge if just might be a little too much and may not be practical. Save the money and go .284 and you will be happy.

The irony of necking up 6.5-284 brass to ... well ... .284 ... may be more than I can bear.

Sounds like forming from .270 or .300 WSM is an issue 'cause the shoulder's in a different spot. So guys just neck up/down.

Let's say I neck up 6.5-284 to .284 ... wouldn't that be more or less the same as necking up .270 WSM to 7-270 WSM? (<span style="font-style: italic">presuming the chamber's cut as a .270 WSM body</span>) And that's more or less the same as 7-300 WSM?

Sounds like there's neck thickness issues with necking .300WSM down to 7mm. Which was what I had hoped to avoid, by going to .284 Win.

Didn't catch any such issues going from .270WSM up to 7mm. But I'd guess that'd make the neck a bit thinner? Is that another kind of problem?

Would that be more of a problem, than necking up 6.5-284?

Or less of a problem?
