Was looking for a 12.5" AR Precision 6.8 SPC II barrel, but they are out of stock and will not be available for 90+ days. Any ideas on other quality 6.8 AR barrel manufactures that have stock on hand? This will be an under 200 yard hog killer. No need for an ultra match barrel.

Are you dead set on having a 12.5" barrel? I think Midway has some 6.8 Wilson barrels in stock, but they are 16". I've been tinkering with the idea of building a 6.8 for similar purposes, however, the apparent lack of components for the 6.8 had me wondering if this was a caliber that was going by the wayside. Seems like the 6.5 Grendel gets far more support from the precision crowd.
Yes I'm dead set on a 12.5" 6.8. Hoping to use an existing hand guard on an SBR for a specific purpose. I have another 6.8 SPC with 16" barrel that I use heavily, so I'm invested in the magazines, brass, bullets, dies etc. The caliber works for my needs. Not really looking to jump to the Grendel today. Thanks for the info and for looking around.

I did prior to posting. They don't have them in stock and don't have plans to run them anytime soon.

Not aware of lack of components. Have more brass then I will use in my life time and wide selection of bullets. Have 3 uppers and a bolt rifle in 6.8.

They jump from 11.5" to 16", but for the price, having it cut down shouldn't hurt your wallet too bad.
