Hi Guy's ,

Here's a photo of a hard plastic chart made to be used in wet or dry conditions using a pencil & rubber , its made of 3 pieces sandwiched together , clear , white ( its marked by engraving and filling with black ) , clear .

I thought one designed with shooters in mind would be very good , IT would have different headings , BUT would be similar .

Maybe some one can make them ?

Re: Spotter's Chart ?

Chris,
What size are you looking for (3x5, 4x6, etc.)? Most folks just run a table format with their specific dope with yard line increments and mil holds or scope dope. Not sure this wheel needs to be reinvented. What does this offer over just regular laminate on a tabled card?

Re: Spotter's Chart ?

To me it seems the best way to write stuff in wet weather , and it lasts forever , cheap to run , pencil & rubber .

I have used them for both Mortar's & SFMG , so I know they work well .

Have also used write in rain paper , with a pencil & rubber as well , but after 3 times , you are done on the paper .

Have used almost everything ( yeap the map pens as well ) , and when its bucketing down , nothing has worked better than this .
I donot need one , as I have this one , just thought maybe others could use it .

Re: Spotter's Chart ?

Chris,

Do not get me wrong, I agree 100% no batteries to wear out and as you siad it is rarely effected by weather. What I was eluding to is what makes this different from just a everyday laminated paper? I still have my pilots checklist book that had all my formats and mission information in it and it worked like a champ.

Re: Spotter's Chart ?

Its a bit different than a paperpad w/cardboard backing , as its rigid to write on .

Its probably of no use as most here donot shoot when its bucketing down etc , in New Zealand , its WET thru out the year , even in winter , its not a dry cold here its a wet cold , real good for hypo .

LoneWolf;
Your wrist reference looks good but I would add a pocket with a clear cover on the cover so when you open it you will have twice the room for info.It does not have the write on cover but a clear cover would work.

Thanks
