Spotting impacts with 7mm/6.5prc?

Going with a new build, probably something in the 16-18lb range with optics, full mags and 30p-1 suppressor what is the recoil of a 7mm rm or 6.5prc? Are they similar, if not is the 7mm rm significantly more? Can hits be spotted?

I cannot comment on the 7rm but the 6.5prc w a big can in a heavy rifle will be pretty manageable.

hunting? matches? what's the purpose? that's still a plenty heavy rifle and people hunt with a lot bigger cartridges in a lot lighter guns

Mainly target, but the occasional hunt.

7 mm magnum in a 16-18# rifle is about the same as my 260 in a 13# rifle, pretty mild.
7mm with heavies is definitely easier to spot.
