Springfield EMP question

I have been looking at the Springfield EMP. I have only held the 9mm and like how thin the grip is.

My question is this; Is the grip width on the .40 the same as the 9mm?

I've looked at the spec sheets on Springfield's site and I can't find the info.

I'm not certain about the grip width between the 9mm and .40, but you could always simply change the bushings and screws to slims and put on slim grips. I must say that I don't know why SA would put them in two different sizes though.

If I am not mistaken, the 9 differs in size from the 40, to make them the as small as they could. The 9 is an alloy frame, and the 40 is a steel frame. I like them both, accurate too. JPG

I like the feel of the 9mm. Smaller than other 1911's. I like my Kimber but like the feel of the EMP 9mm. Have a hard time parting with that much $$$ without the power of a .45. Don't like the looks of an STI or would consider it.

Like the 1911's. Won't consider anything else. Traditional thing.
