I would like to find a nice SpringField 03A3. I want one in great condition. And with matching serial numbers. I am looking for a good shoter. It does not need to be anything special as far as being a limted style or such. Just a really nice shooter.

What is a reasonable price for such a rifle??

I know prices have changed a god bit recently. So I was just wondering what to look for?? And a fair price??

Any additional information would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

Re: SpringField Rifle

Good 1903A3s are getting hard to find. I lucked out and found a great orginal Smith Corona all correct USGI and paid $695.

I got tired of waiting for the CMP to release what they had. I had decided before I found this one, I would set a limit of $1500.

When I found my SC I almost couldn't believe the condition and price. Excellent muzzle and chamber.

In my opinion they are the finest military bolt action rifles out there, smooth action, accurate, sleek, and all around great looking rifle.

Prices vary depending on condition and location. They aren't making these rifles any more. If you find a good one jump on it, regardless of how many kids or grandkids you have to sell into slavery to buy it.

While your at it, go to the CMP web site and order your '03 bayonet.
