Suppressors Springfield XD(M) .45 in 3.8" configuration

I just got off the phone with a buddy who was in Quantico Arms, Quantico, VA today. He was told the XD(M).45 was going to be released in a 3.8 version and it could be ordered in about a month. I have been scouring the internet and found nothing about this. Springfield site says nothing about it either.

Can anyone confirm this?

The only info Springfield has put out (print ads...American Rifleman, etc.) shows the XD(m) .45acp pictured in 4.5"...nothing about a 3.8". There is zero information directly from SA other than the print ad at this point. Your post is the first I have heard about a more "definite" date for release/availability.

If you go to Springfield Armory's main website page, they have a sign-up for "updates" on this project, but no other information yet.

He says they will be available in July timeframe. I'm hoping he is correct.

look for 45 xd compact they have been out for over a year

Talked to my gun dealer a couple days ago and he said that the new XDM 45s should be shipped next month, but it's going to be a full size model. Granted, there are many factors that could delay it, but I guess that's what SA is telling the dealers.
