Got tired of not shooting and decided to put a few rounds downrange today with my SPS Tactical. I still have less than 500 rounds through the tube. I am shooting the 69gr SMK in basically un-prepped Lake City brass that I picked up from the range, backed by Reloader 15, and ignited by a CCI SR primer.

At 100 it did pretty decently averaging just over 1/2 MOA for the groups. By the time I made it back to the 200 the wind had picked up a bit and was swirling. I did get one group that was right at 1", but the average was at .8 MOA.

I want to rebarrel this rifle to make a .223AI knock off of an M40A1, but right now I'm having a bit too much fun to start in the project. I've already got the stock, and have an ST-10 in the mail (as close as I can afford).

    Here it is at 100yds

I'm havin' trouble reading the number for the oal? Whats the speed runing on that load? What's the jump to the lands? Sorry for all the qustions. I'm thinking of switching my wifes 223 load to re-15 from varget. Seems like your steeping on the gas pretty hard with 25.5.

Overall length is 2.280". No idea on the jump to the lands, but it is a typical Remington long-throated chamber. I also have not chronographed this load as I purposely told myself that I wouldn't spend near the time on reloading for this rifle as I do for some of my others.

This is all once fired range brass that has been put through ARs out at my range. Most of them have small dents here and there, even in the shoulder, but as long as it would chamber I'd load it. There was no weight sorting, or anything else done to it either. I do however toss the brass to any round that gives me an unexplained flyer.

I'm sure I'm leaving a little accuracy on the table but its probably not much, and since I don't plan on shooting any paper-punching matches I don't think I'll go to the effort to find out.

The problem I have with the statement of 1/2 MoA group size is that when I overlay all 5 groups, I find a greater than 1.5 MoA horizontal spread, whereas I only see a 0.5 MoA vertical spread.

Maybe I forgot to state that I made two dope adjustments to my scope. After the top three groups were fired I adjusted and went too far to the left on the lower left target (vertical was on). I then made a 1/2" adjustment right and fired the final group on the bottom right target.

Didn't want to take up bandwidth by explaining every last detail, going down to the thread pattern in my jeans over shooting a couple of groups. Next time to avoid confusion I'll include all wind calls, and dope adjustments.
