Spuhr Cantilever Mount questions for bolt action

so yeah new here. I've been shooting PRS and a few things. I'm left handed and very small. I've had to modify things quite a bit. Anyways I got a leupold mark 5 (switching from vortex). When I had the vortex I tried a spuhr mount but it would have come too far off the front of the gun and it wasn't usable. I'm thinking of trying a cantilever mount on the leupold b/c it can mount farther forward. As I understand these are typically for ARs, is there any reason I cant run the cantilever mount on a 6.5 creed moor or is there any downside to doing so for PRS?

No reason. I have a Spuhr cantilever mount on my .308 bolt action and it works fine. Very comfortable.

Yup...no problem with a cantilever mount on a bolt gun
