Spuhr St-4701 Question/Advice

I recently purchased spuhr ST-4701 dovetail maunt for my sake 308 rifle. on the underside of the mount there is what seems like a set screw that is adjustable. for anyone that has this mount can you tell me what the screw is for? I would like to get my scope mounted

It’s a recoil screw and keeps the mount from moving. I‘m guessing that you have a TRG and you haven’t removed the original rail yet?

This should help make sense of what it does.
