Rifle Scopes SS 10x42 on 700 sps ring/base?

Trying to read around on what others are using for their 700 sps/tactical + SS 10x42 combo. Most people aren't saying what exactly they are using so I figured the links above would be reasonable.

So does that sound right? A 20moa base with low(1/4") rings for a super sniper on a 700 sps?

O and yes I know, "get better rings...don't be a cheap-ass"

Low rings will be the right height for your setup. Those are decent rings as well and should do all you need. I have a buddy using them on a barrett .50 and so far so good.

With that scope a 20 MOA base is not really needed as it has so much adjustment already, but it will be nice to have incase you upgrade to a scope with less adjustment in the future.

My experience with EGW bases has been good, but they are a lot higher than other brands I have used. The one I had really put my scope up a lot higher than my TPS, Seekins, or Nightforce bases. I prefer my scopes as low as possible. So take that into account with your choice. TPS makes bases that are as good as anything else and they are not much more than a EGW.

I agree....i have an sps but running 50mm with mediums. for the 42mm obj the lows are what you want

Lows. I have Medium High Badgers on mine and wish I would have gotten low's or mediums.

Just went with the EGW 20moa HD base with the supplied low rings from Supersniper. Everything worked out great - hope this helps your build.

I have my S.S. mounted on an E.G.W. flat base with Burris low rings and have over 3/8" under the Butler Creek obj. cap. One warning is that I have had this scope slide in these rings. If I could replace them I would! Wish I would of went with T.P.S. rings from the get go, but at the time they were out-of-stock everywhere. Remember, most of the time, you get what you pay for. I should also add that this all on a very light (7lbs).300 wsm Savage, YMMV.

I have the EGW 20 MOA base and the low XTR rings. Plenty of room for caps and seems to be a good setup. BTW, it is on a SS 10X as well.
