Rifle Scopes SS scope question

Not the same is worth it, but a question for you guys about the focus. I am going to get one and I am finding rear focus models for sale and not side focus. Is their a reason for this. Are they not as good as the side focus? Are there any advantages over the side focus. Sorry about the ?s but the rear focus has me a little puzzled, never seen it before.

I have nothing to back this up but maybe a lot more of the rear parallax adjustable scopes were sold. I have not used the side parallax model but it might be a more course adjustment when compared to the rear focus model. If this is the case you may find it easier to get a crisp parallax free sight picture with the adjustment on the rear of the scope.

On a side not both side and rear parallax adjustments are easier to use than an AO IMHO.
