ssa 308 brass

ssa (silver state armory) makes very high quality 6.8mm brass and i know they make 308 also but have never heard anyone that is using it. is thier a reason i dont see it being used? im just getting in to reloading and had a question before i do something i would regret.

For 308 I would use Lapua , Lake City LR or LC Match Match Brass.

I have SSA .260 and .308 and both have given great results. I have yet to reload any so I can;t speak in how many firings you get from em yet but quality seems to be on up there.

I have some 1X fired from shooting their 175 OTM ammo. Have not yet used it to reload since I have a bunch of LC LR stuff, but it looks like good quality brass.

I have some both in 6.8 and .308.
I will mostly continue with SSA for 6.8 but move on to Lapua for 308 as it is about the same price as Lapua.
No long term assessment yet for it on 308.

David Tubb uses SSA brass for his ammo line when he cannot get Norma. Enough said, it is good stuff.
