Is Pascagoula MS still the closest 1k range?

I'm not far from you in Ascension Parish.
We've got Palo Alto in Donaldsonville that goes out to 600. For 1000 the places I know of are Nolatac just outside of New Orleans, FTS in Cut Off goes out to nine hundred something and has steel, and Long Range Alley way up in Grand Cane.

I ran into problems with a safety at Palo Alto and dropped my membership there years ago. He was a Palma type of guy and didn’t like my green rifle in an M5 swirl stock on his beloved 600 yard range for the high power crew. He acted like it was 1100 yards. It was too far for the hassle for a mere 600 yards, so I dropped my membership. I steer people away whenever I can. The other safeties were nice, but it is too far if you don’t know what you are going to get when you get there. I like to stick to myself as much as possible at the range. If I’m not doing anything wrong, I expect them to mind their own business.
