Range Report Stability factor 6.5 saum 150 smk

You didn't give us much to go on here buddy.

Wth were your inputs to spit that number out?

How will you use the rifle?

Where will it be used and in what conditions?

Wth is the twist rate in your barrel, and whose barrel IS it?

I will say, right from the beginning, that at that marginal stability, even if it does go pointy-end-first, the bullet may be wobbling enough that you lose all the hypothetical BC gain over the 142, etc. that might be quite nicely stable.

Pair that with the additional speed of a lighter bullet, and...

Range toy only? Winter use?

That's not a particularly tight twist, and it is way harder to make up in speed what one does not have in twist rate, GAP 4S notwithstanding.

I have run them an 8.0 twist at 2950-3050 to distance with no obvious stability issues. My new 8 twist barrel shows up today my first load development will be 150’s. I’m at 4000+ elevation so I get some help. I don’t think an 8.5 or slower is going to be ideal or might not work at all at your elevation.
