CFO of Chinese telecomms Huawei arrested in Canada to be extradited to NY charged with violating Iran sanctions....

Everything wrong with China is exhibited in the photo of their military in the article. Fuckers even stole the ass too big HMMWV.

At least we have helos that can carry our big shit.

We ought to make a "Special" "Secret" mil unit and dress em up in cock shaped helmets.

Within a month China would have all its military so adorned and we could laugh at them.

Interesting to see how this story plays out....

    Trump pressuring XI or

Justice Dept establishment trying to poison any trade agreements.

Big Chinese corporations don't do anything without approval or direction of their government.
The Chinese like holding grudges for a long time and are willing to wait to get you back for slights done 100 years ago.
I'm not sure it's actually in our long term national interest to involve them against us, in our little 50 year involvement in the ancient struggle between Iran and the Saudi's.

    Hi,

So I wonder what USA stance is going to be in regards to Saudi purchasing the China made UAVs.....If you are going to punish China then punish them completely, right? Have Saudi put a stop to the UAV purchase to teach China to tow the line better??

Newest Chinese UAV in the Saudi force..

Isnt that the original paint stencil for the Fighting Falcon from on one of our aircraft?

Those fucks copy even the paint scheme.

All these pieces of equipment highlight the amount of hacking that has been done against the major defense contractors. They didn't reverse engineer shit. They just stole the plans and tweaked them for local infrastructure support and equipment support.

There's a reason everything is going back to being compartmentalized or SAP controlled....

    Hi,

Yep, The "Coaches" that come to the International Warrior Competition with the China Snow Leopard SF Units are not coaches at all..they are R&D engineers that use the event to put their hands on the latest and greatest small arms equipment used by dozens of the top SF units in the world.

This is also the reason I have never figured out how the DDTC will allow so many International members to attend Shot Show because DDTC says it is illegal for a Non USA citizen to even look through certain NV/Thermal devices..yet Shot Show has them in leaps and bounds.
There is a reason that "Technical" Data is treated no different than the actual product in regards to export licenses and such being required..yet Shot Show mega retreat for all the "Technical" Data you want (If you know how to get it).

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Just so long as they don't decide to hold Nik and any other AmeriYank's that happen to be in the china right now, as retaliation.
And for those saying "they'd never do that"...... are you REALLY sure about that?

Is there a way to get China to retaliate by arresting the heads of Facebook, Twitter & Google?

This is why SOFIC is a NOFORN show every other year.

Yes, but I know we are very careful about what goes on display, and what is kept in the back room of the display booth. This past one (which was not NOFORN) we had quite a few goodies stuffed in the back room, and only displayed to USSOCOM customers. ...then again, some of it would have probably offended a couple countries. :)

    @Nik H ,

When you eat the food over there......are you hungry a half hour later?

Actually, being here on business means you are always hosted for dinner and the food is so plentiful that it is difficult to ever be hungry.

Last night I was hosted by the GM of a potentially new supplier. I was treated to some local moonshine which is infused with a snake...enjoy

He had several kinds including: ants, bees and tiger head

Each is supposed to grant the drinker with the qualities of the animal embodied in it

Well, that beats the fuck out of the cinnamon 'shine we get around here. Tiger head moonshine? Holy hell. I'd try it. If it went down at all, I'd probably keep going.

I just got back from China - got a bit drunk and showed normal public YouTube videos of shit I shouldn’t have, simple stuff like Tiananmen Square on my scrambled device..

    It was dumb but fun

I tried the snake out of respect but was not thrilled about it. Wasn’t really bad tasting. It actually had flavor but it was unnerving

It can’t be worse than the partially drank bottle of Canadian whiskey I found in the woods near Exit Glacier. Top 5 hangovers ever.

South Koreans and THais have these things too, so does every culture not that big a deal.

And this is what happens when the peasants take over (communism); voodoo, tribal, mythical bullshit becomes the norm. My ancestors (I'm sure) are just looking down and shaking their damned heads at what Chinese culture has become today.

    Rant off...

Isn't that a way to end up in a Chinese jail?
I'd think dropping some usbs around might be a little more covert

LOL! What did you think the higher caste Chinese think Koreans and Thai's were?

Higher caste? You mean the educated or wealthy?

I was with senior executives that own and are driven in their Bentley and Rolls...very wealthy, very educated.

Ancestral traditions and beliefs are important to a culture regardless of an outsider’s opinion. If we had more of that in our country (the realization of how important traditions are), we would be far better off than we are today

@Nik H , I'm referring to the old caste system before the communist took over, and it was said mostly in jest. My mother's family was part of the aristocracy before the communist's came in and changed the language, renamed the cities and altered the culture.

As you are probably aware, wealth and education are not expressly tied to wisdom, culture and/or class.

Again, my comment was said mostly in jest (as I can remember my grandmother making comments about how the communist's screwed up China). I remember her once, when (as a child), I asked her if she could speak to this other Chinese woman in Chinese, and her comment was "No, she was from after the communists took over, she speaks Mandarin; it's the peasant's language. It's guttural and choppy, unlike Cantonese which is a sing song language, and much more beautiful coming off the tongue." LOL! I knew (even then) she was obviously biased, as well as, still mildly angry at having to leave everything in China in the middle of the night, as the communists started killing the aristocratic leaders in the various districts. Her comments about Koreans, Thai's and (especially) Japanese were pretty blunt and derogatory. With regards to the Japanese, I could sympathize. Her husband (my grandfather) was a POW by the Japanese during WWII (Merrill's Marauder's, Red Team, Bravo Company), so what they did to him (especially being Chinese) fueled her hatred of the Japanese to fairly high levels.

At any rate, my comment was made mostly in jest...I guess my sarcasm didn't come across as I had intended...

No the problem is mine. I didn’t realize your comment was tongue in cheek and I apologize that I tried to explain something that you know much better than I do
