What would be a good safe starting load without wasting powder on really light loads? Hodgdon lists a starting load of 83.0 gr h1000 for the 220 gr nosler partition. I'm not sure how much different these two bullets are. Does anyone have any recommendations? What does sierra recommend as a starting load for the 220 smk? I bought some of these bullets as a gift for my uncle and told him I'd try to get him some load data since he's been shooting lighter weight bullets out of his 300 RUM, as that's all he had.
