Just thought I'd share this review I found. Much like the author I'd expect more from a Steiner that markets itself as a MIL/LEO brand. This one also costs $3k.
Breaks on the second drop test.

I haven't tried steiner's scopes but if they are as trash as their red dots, LAMs, and customer service I wouldn't hold my breath.

The DRS1x red dot literally isn't even daylight bright. I made a video showing it disappears in normal mid day sunlight and they said it was acting normally. (Yes the piggy back DRS ontop of the Steiner prism was a joke)

I've had more than a few Steiner optics: T332, T432, T536, S332 and S432, and more than a handful of DRSs. All of them are pretty trash.

Hows that DBAL treating you? I've been eyeing the D2.

I have two D2s, two 9007s, and a cqbl. If you need an illuminator just go with the Perst3 or 2KS Klesh. If you want a laser go with the Perst4 or 1k.

There's probably two dozen stories in the past year or so of DBALs prolapsing or simply falling apart. Mine drains batteries even in the off position and the illuminator flip cap broke on both even trying to be as gentile as possible. The 9007 is actually decent for how light it is, but I think the VIR II might be better, but I haven't played with it.
